THREEFOLDparallelperformance - Where is the University?

Wednesday 6 March 2019, 6.30pm
MUMA
Free entry

Over three nights in March 2019, the THREEFOLDParallelPerformance series of panels were presented as performative gatherings (playful, possibly political) in parallel with the exhibition Shapes of Knowledge. Live drawings were made by Oslo Davis and Angharad Neil-Williams.

The first event, ‘Where is the University?’, was a conversation on the shapes (and shaping) of knowledge and power in Higher Education, with a focus on the changing roles and responsibilities that have been emerging in this sector and its institutions. Panellists presented short, performative and playful responses to the key question: where is the university?

Host: James Oliver
Illustrator: Angharad Neil-Williams
Panellists:
Anne Harris (playwright and researcher on creativity and education)
Stacy Holman Jones (researcher in performance, feminism and queer enquiry)
Brian Martin (artist and academic)
Mammad Aidani (poet, playwright and researcher)
Presented by MUMA in partnership with the Department of Design and Critical Practices Research Lab, MADA. Produced/directed by James Oliver.
