About the Program

Join writer and translator Elisa Taber for an intimate reading as part of Stolon Press: Flat earth.

In An Archipelago in a Landlocked Country / Otra isla rodeada de tierra (Another Island Surrounded by Land), Taber writes and translates herself into an absent presence. In this one-time live reading, Taber’s voice will briefly inhabit the gallery space as she reads from this text in its English and Spanish translations. Small audio speakers, suspended from the ceiling and otherwise silent, will carry her voice before returning to quiet.

The reading will be accompanied by Lebanese coffee, tea, and sweets.
