What to expect

2.30pm — Artist and curator talks in the gallery with Paola Balla, Carla Cescon and Clare Milledge

3pm — Official opening with a performance by exhibiting artist Karina Utomo, Critical Tasseography coffee readings by Tina Stefanou and an opening address by Dr Emma Quilty, Monash University academic and author of Witch Power: Hexing the Patriarchy with Feminist Magic

This major group exhibition explores how artists enact ancestral, spiritual and embodied ways of knowing amid eroding trust in government and dominant Western frameworks. The exhibition brings together new commissions, works from the Monash University Collection, and key loans by Australian and international artists.
