Join us to celebrate the opening of Pitcha Makin Fellas: Long time coming, not finished yet at MUMA. The first career survey exhibition of this First Nations collective celebrates their legacy of humour, resistance, community connection and care.
A spring afternoon gathering in the MUMA courtyard will feature an artist talk, barbecue, musical performance by Jack Shilvock and Rick Chew, and a Welcome to Country by Professor N'arwee't Carolyn Briggs AM.
The exhibition will be officially opened by artist, curator and writer Djon Mundine OAM.

Pitcha Makin Fellas: Long time coming, not finished yet10 October – 5 December 2026
The exhibition will introduce audiences to the Pitcha Makin Fellas’ distinctive practice and feature new and existing works by the collective spanning brightly coloured paintings, hand-painted breastplates and an installation using their signature stamps. A new commission, made for the exhibition, explores the activism that led to the Treaty with First Nations People in the state of Victoria in 2025.
