Fees on this statement are based on the units you're enrolled in as of this date. If you've made any changes since this date, you'll receive a new statement within two working days. Tuition fees are assessed up to the maximum duration of your research degree (four years equivalent full time) regardless of when your thesis submission date is due.

Summary of fees and charges assessed for the year. Once you submit your thesis, your enrolment load and fees will be adjusted based on your thesis submission date and an updated Fees statement issued. You can apply for a refund for any fees paid in excess if applicable.

Amount paid by your sponsor, if you have one (e.g. scholarship, Australia Awards, foreign government etc.).
Balance due

Due dates and outstanding amounts for each teaching period. As a research student, each teaching period relates to a research quarter (see page two of your fees statement)

Monash has a number of teaching periods. Each teaching period connects to a fee period. For a list of these, see fee invoice periods.
EFTSL
Each research quarter has a value of 0.25 EFTSL for full-time students and 0.125 for part-time students.
