BIMSEC 2019
University-Industry Collaborative Workshop on BIM Data Security, Management and Legal Implications
University-Industry Collaborative Workshop on BIM Data Security, Management and Legal Implications
The successful implementation of BIM on infrastructure projects relies on a common data environment to manage relevant data generated by and exchanged between multi-disciplinary project teams. This new paradigm, however, raises complex questions around data integrity and digital information security, as well as issues of legal liability and risk allocation.
This invitation-only roundtable workshop will discuss key issues in BIM data security and management from the perspectives of IT, Law, and project management. Participants will:
➢ Learn about latest inter-disciplinary BIM research being undertaken at Monash University
➢ Participate in three interactive sessions about:
➢ Have an opportunity to share their own BIM experience in order to facilitate peer-to-peer learning
The workshop findings will be collated into a Special Report that will be made available to all participants.
