My project can be defined as an honest farm and architecture proposition that frames the complex systems of the immediate landscape condition. The brief; a commercial scale vineyard and winery with a focus on minimal intervention wine making. Our site in Buckland lies on the face of Mount Buffalo. A unique ecosystem thrives in the valley and plays a vital role in the broader Victorian Alpine region. This farmland asks for a site specific implementation of agroecological and architectural practices. My proposal hopes to serve more than as a shell for wine making to occur, rather expose, capture, activate and reveal how these complex systems of the immediate landscape are behaving.

Cellar Door
We cannot control or capture the unique complex systems on site but in an effort to activate and highlight these elements my architecture hopes to articulate how this environment behaves and its influence on the growing and making of wine.
Plan
The aim is that the growing and harvesting of grapes is part of a wider environmental network working collectively to produce healthy, organic produce. The public will be able to engage with the growing process, with the intention of sharing knowledge on practices that question ways of traditional colonial farming.
