The absurdity of the designer was born from the need to understand and reflect on the social, economic and environmental role designers carries in today’s practice, the aim of the guide is to function as a conversation starter and critic about the current design practices, ethics and responsibilities the designer and its designs carries.

We need designers to not be scared of asking questions that challenge the current practices and it is imperative to evolve our present approaches in order to create a positive change.

Entering the grand doors to the unknown, as I stepped into a world of chaos and mystery, deep into the heart of the biennale my heart felt safe. As I looked around, I could not detach myself from that overwhelming feeling of belonging, of connection and understanding to what my eyes were observing, peace in the house of madness revealed itself.

The dispenser of memories as the names describes it is a system in which its core principle is based on the idea of give in order to take.

Working around the concept of repatriation of the souvenir, the memory dispenser will work as a ticket machine to which the user will obtain a ticket with a specific date that relates to a memory. At the back of it contains a QR code which will indicate the necessary steps to unlock the taken memory.
