I am Sihan Jiang, a graphic designer, focusing on brand identity, typography, digital media and publication printing. I have interned in design studios and advertising agencies, conducting data analysis and visualizing information to understand audience preferences. Using computer skills to provide visual ideas for poster design, gaining practice in social media marketing. The Activation Studio project gave me the opportunity to delve deeper into issues and try to explore problem solving in the form of design, which was a very interesting exercise for me and gave me a deeper understanding of the role design plays in social issues.
Recharging Yourself(Design research kit)
The topic I have chosen for my research is the work pressure suffered by modern young people. During the pre-research phase I asked six participants to take part in an interactive questionnaire to collect information on the perceptions of today’s young people about work-related stress. With 100% of participants having experienced or witnessed unfair treatment in the workplace and over 90% having experienced a work breakdown, we believe this study effectively shows that stress in the workplace is becoming an increasingly common problem. This has also set the stage for my subsequent campaign, which will be centered on combating work-related stress.
Recharging Yourself(poster)
This is a campaign against work stress held by the bus stop in the city centre, targeting commuters aged 18 to 30 to raise awareness of the issue and warning people to plan their work schedules wisely and to be happy while maintaining their physical and mental health. The campaign is titled: Recharging Yourself. Reject Stress. The light background contrasts nicely with the dark blue graphics, which have a calming and stabilizing effect and help people to calm down from their frazzled lives. The posters will also have a link to our website s o that people can scan them with their mobile phones as they pass by and get more information about the event.
Recharging Yourself(Tri-fold booklet)
The simplicity of the illustrations will create a more memorable and effective way to communicate the idea of the campaign to the audience and give them a deeper understanding of the issue. The lovely illustrations and the consistent use of color set the tone for the campaign. The tri-fold brochure is very portable and easy to use, with a few illustrations and short text descriptions suggesting to the target audience some ways to relieve stress at work for the public to refer to.

Recharging Yourself(website)
The webpage has a wider audience. For office workers, who may not have as much time to stop and look at our posters, the webpage allows them to use their fragmented time to get in touch with the core ideas of our campaign. The webpage mainly guides the audience to understand the work pressure faced by modern young people, to understand the current situation and then gives some advice to relieve this pressure, and finally to contact us, so that they can call us for help if there is anything they want to communicate with us.
Recharging Yourself(Peripheral products)
We also created a range of peripheral products based on the theme. These include water bottles, badges and mobile phone cases, which are placed in tote bags and distributed to audiences as souvenirs, The badge and phone case will stay with the audience so often that every time they see it they will think of the theme of our campaign, and repeating it over and over again makes it more memorable.
