I am a chummy designer called Susie trying to make it in Melbourne. I LOVE making books. Something I love more than making them is sniffing them. BEAR LOVE a word game for adults
I remember as a young one, I would go into English class and have to sit in a spelling quiz every week. I was quite good at spelling as a student. Then as my pre pubescent angst went away, so did my spelling ability. This project began with a research that explored the question: Do We Really Suck at Spelling?. The research informed that as adults, yes, we suck at spelling but spelling doesn’t really matter anymore in quotidian adulting. The project had slightly more gravity at the beginning. After the research, it took a completely ludic turn and final outcome became a board game.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
