Qianjia (Fiona) Lin

Hi I’m Fiona! I have completed a Bachelor of Communication Design in 2021 and am currently completing a Honours Design Degree. My interests within my degree and design in general include graphic design, illustrations and publication work. Throughout the past four years I have been creating projects related to illustrative publications about nature, life and culture, things I am passionate about. For my 2022 Honours Design project, I was designing a habit-developing product aiming to improve the relationships in families living with level 2 or 3 ASD children. What Is Your Anxiety?

What Is Your Anxiety? - Documentation of Them

"What Is Your Anxiety?'is a documentation project in which I
aimed to explore the various anxieties women face in our
contemporary society.I started the collection process by asking strangers
for their photos, and the anxieties they shared with me opened
my eyes to the varied struggles women face.It was interesting to
discover that nowadays women tend to have more concern about
themselves as individuals.

What Is Your Anxiety? - Layout Design

As Polaroid photos are typically taken and displayed in a casual
manner,I felt that using this medium and displaying them within a
formal setting would create an atmosphere of solemnity to mirror
the anxieties written on each photo.

Drawn Into Music

A music zine I developed for an illustration class’ unthemed zine assignment. I chose 8 songs and drew conceptual illustrations based on my feelings towards them, creating one or more images for each song and partnering them with the lyrics or descriptions.

"From Trees to Forest"

My Honours project, which is focusing on how might we improve the relationship in families with level 2 or 3 ASD children. What you see here is an early prototype of a habit developing puzzle which family members use as a chance to spend more quality time with their child.
