Studying industrial design in Monash University, I have more knowledge and understanding of product shape and function design. In my mobility and service project, I designed SC wheelchair by understanding the issues that wheelchair users encounter when going out. It can help wheelchair users feel more freedom when going out, and users can easily take stairs. Comfortable seat has been added to in crease the time users spend on the wheelchair.
SC-wheelchair
The SC is an electric wheelchair that can overcome many difficulties when the wheelchair user is out, allowing the wheelchair user to have more freedom when going out, and stop hating going out.
Comfortable seat
Wheelchair users spend a lot of time in wheelchair when they are going out. Therefore, a comfortable seat is necessary. Users can adjust the height of their feet according to their comfort level.
Fold-out table
It can be used when the wheelchair users need. The user can use it to work, put loptop, water bottle on the table.
Stair climber
When the wheelchair user need to take stair, the stair- climber will work. Automatically find and match the stair.
Suitable size
There is a wide space for user to sit on. When someone pushes the wheelchair, the handrail is the suitable height. The width of the wheelchair allows the user to freely access the room and corridor.
