The project idea was come from “Tent City”, A tent city is a temporary housing facility made using tents or other temporary structures.

The design concept of the windproof home creates a barrier to provide shelter and comfort. The irregular plastic shape reduces wind friction, improves stability, and minimizes sound, vibration, aiming to provide residents with a safer and privacy-protected residence in limited conditions.

The main purpose of the design is to make use of Kangaroo's plug-in in Grasshopper to present an expansive and incredible space where shadowy characters can be perceived.

Windproof Home

In the design of the windproof home, through extensive use of translucent and curved cotton cloth. The occupants can move through layers and become part of a flowing non-linear narrative. Transparent plastic creates a dynamic and mysterious space.

The concept of lighting in the design is to use transparent/white plastic to create a diffusion effect through natural light or sunlight and increase the overall abstract atmosphere. The natural light penetrates into the membrane cloth through the filter, reminding the residents of their perception of the external world danger or natural disaster.

While creating the overall atmosphere, lighting can adapt to a series of different conditions, including completely closed and dark spaces. However, to create darker areas, the layering of fabrics strengthens the enclosed space and focuses only on specific types of work.
