Monash Art, Design and Architecture Student Exhibition 2022

Teagan Ramsay

(SUB)sonic' is an exhibition curated by Teagan Ramsay with immersive audio and visual artworks by artists Majella, Indra Liusuari, and Ophelia Bakowski. The exhibition seeks to draw connections, create fragmentations and call attention to the influences of institutional systems on bodily queer experience and memory. The collection of works employ tactics of reclamation, rebirth and meta-humour to critique religious and social institutional systems.

Teagan Ramsay is a Naarm-based (Melbourne) emerging visual artist, curator, and arts worker. Ramsay’s practice explores the complexities of queer memory, desire and experience through methods of queer curating, deep listening and affect.
