Prato Local Artists Exhibition
For my project, I have created a temporary structure that can be constructed and deconstructed by members of the community. This axonometric drawing exhibits one of the modes of use, creating a 'Local Artists Exhibition'. The structure is used to display works and installations, for the community to engage with. This demonstrates the concept behind my project, which is to activate a space that is disused, and bring back life to this realm by encouraging the community to participate in events that are educational and cultural.
Prato Music and Dance Festival
This drawing emphasises the different types of spaces that are created and activated as a result of the pavilion structure and its stairs. The circular nature of the structure allows people to interact with the internal space, as well as the surrounding spaces, all whilst maintaining visual connection to all activities occuring.
Sum of Us
In this collage, I endeavour to create a face which portrays features of a person from each of the cultural backgrounds that I have been researching. This is to suggest that despite our differences, we all come from the same seed. This is relevant to architecture in that the spaces we create must encourage unison amongst humanity. This is the avenue I wanted to go down in relation to the development of project... I wanted to create a space that invites the outside in and the inside out.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
