I am Bingyu Han, a graphic designer with a focus on illustration, brand identity, and typography. I enjoy using colour and typography to create engaging, vibrant, and clear design solutions.

The Activation Studio project, "Beyond Screen“ aims to awaken people to their over-reliance on electronic screens and encourages them to step outside these screens to explore the more fascinating aspects of life. It encourages individuals to immerse themselves more in nature, travel, and spend quality time with family and friends to achieve a balance in people's digital lives and enhance their overall quality of life.

Beyond Screen

"Beyond Screen" advocates for a balanced digital life, highlighting the adverse effects of excessive screen time on health and relationships. It encourages individuals to step away from screens, embrace nature, travel, and connect with loved ones. Through its booklist guides, the campaign fosters active participation and idea sharing, promoting a healthier lifestyle. "Beyond Screen" inspires people to reevaluate their digital habits and embrace a more fulfilling life beyond screens.

Beyond Screen - Booklist Guides

The Booklist Guide comprises four seasonal books, each embracing the spirit of spring, summer, autumn, and winter through colours and patterns. These guides feature curated activities tailored to each season, providing inspiration and a sense of accomplishment as people complete them, encouraging exploration beyond screens. It also offers space for recording thoughts and reflections. Designed in a smartphone-sized, portable format, the guides are practical and accessible for on-the-go use.

Beyond Screen - Website

The website's primary aim is to raise awareness among heavy electronic screen users regarding the potential physical and mental health effects of extended screen time. Seasonal colour palettes emphasise the changing themes. Users can access information on offline events promoting a digital-life balance and sharing their experiences, fostering a sense of community. Mobile users can contribute suggestions for next year's seasonal activity guides, aligning with preferences and feedback.

Beyond Screen - Posters

Posters are crucial tools in the campaign, with each season depicted through unique colours, patterns, and campaign details. The four seasons and the "TO series" (TO DO, TO GO, TO TRAVEL, and TO MEET) at the core ensure our message resonates and captivates the audience.

Beyond Screen - Postcards

The postcards, while complimentary for participants, serve as potent messengers for the campaign. To encourage sharing them with friends and family to expand the campaign's reach. Aligned with seasonal themes, these postcards blend functionality with seamless integration into the campaign design, strengthening the core message and garnering more support.

Beyond Screen - DRK

DRK research reveals that people spend an average of 11 hours daily on screens, potentially impacting health, sleep, and relationships. This insight has led to the creation of "Beyond Screen," a campaign promoting digital-life balance, reducing screen time, and encouraging outdoor interactions and social engagement. The campaign is structured around the concept of time, transitioning from day to night and spanning the seasons.
