The Wearable Cool Infuser Project examines two approaches to enable the cooled delivery of continuous infusion antibiotics within Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) services. The project assesses trade-offs between a durable vacuum-insulated flask (Outcome A) and a soft insulated cooler bag (Outcome B), mapping a range that spans from cooling performance to patient comfort. Guided by a human-centred design philosophy, the project's outcomes address specific user needs and challenges, aiming to enhance the daily lives of patients undergoing treatment through OPAT.
