The Citarum River in West Java, Indonesia is among the world's most polluted rivers, mainly due to daily disposal of 20,000 tons of solid waste from 600+ villages. Lack of waste management is to blame. The Indonesian government is committed to revitalizing the river, allocating funds for projects that recycle pollutants, promote eco-tourism, and create a bicycle pathway connecting villages.

Introducing reCycle™️, a bicycle pedal produced in Indonesia using recycled plastics from the Citarum River. It's an affordable, stylish, and eco-friendly solution, allowing local communities to sell it to tourists, generating revenue and awareness.

reCycle™️ is a pedal crafted from recycled plastic and restored bike parts.

A grippy center and molded pins enhance foot stability.

Manufacturing

Pedals can be produced by injection moulding or by CNC planing recycled plastic sheets, allowing for flexibility in the manufacturing process.

Patterns and colours are customisable.

A circular life-cycle

Plastic bodies are ground back into plastic chaff at the end of their life-cycle and bicycle components are refurbished and reused if they are structurally compromised.

Sizing, components and assembly are identical to that of traditional flat pedals
