'Interactive furniture for the outdoors'

Public space helps determine the relationship between people and their surroundings. It has the potential to create a sense of belonging, and cultural vibrancy and in turn to promote happiness and wellbeing.

They provide opportunity for relaxation, recreation and socialising, and contribute to a neighbourhood's local character and sense of place.

The return of post-pandemic interaction between users creates an opportunity to explore new shapes and new designs in the public space.

The public furnishings contribute to the university's image and provide spaces for conversation and idea sharing, which improves the quality of the urban setting.

Bench for the public space

Artworks in public spaces open up new possibilities for people to lose their timidity towards art, while in museums and galleries the relationship between the viewer and the artwork is already defined to a strong degree.” JEPPE HEIN

Through well-designed furniture in public spaces, we can create better experiences for the users, centred on a sense of play and community. Instead of designating a sideline or a small area near the edge of the action.

Becoming a place to go, a destination instead of purely transitory.
