My name is Loan Huynh, also known as Lany. I am an international student from Vietnam. My passion is pursuing cute cartoon style design and want to become a multimedia designer. I had a time filled with joy and memories while studying for a Master of Design at Monash University. I hope that my works will bring people a feeling of joy and vitality the same way I enjoy my own joy.
Lany's Ice Cream Shop
Lany Ice Cream Shop is a toy set for children created with the Cinema 4D program, I combined the two main colours purple and pink, and around the ice cream shop is a play area including tables, chairs and even cars driving around. With the purpose of creating toys for children, I use simple details so viewers can recognize their roles. This is an exciting experience that I learned in the first year of the Master's degree. It brings a bit of difficulty when practising but also gives a feeling of being able to make your toys.
Sunset at Mordialloc beach
Sunset at Mordialloc beach is a photo that I accidentally took when I first came to Australia in 2016. At that time I had not yet started in the design industry, it was just a random moment captured with an Iphone. Many people come to this beach to have fun and take a relaxing walk because the air is very fresh. This is also the most memorable memory I have until now.
'Lany Cookie'
Lany Cookie is a promotional video for the cookie brand named Lany and is also the final project at Monash. This project uses a combination of After Affect and Cinema 4D, the packaging design is conceptualized as cookies and bears to increase cuteness and fun. In addition, I also designed a few more models, each with the letters of my name, as a reward for those who buy this product.
City of Spies is a title sequence I created for a detective series with mysterious details. City of Spies is a story revolving around the journey of a detective named Nick to solve the mystery at the tallest building in Vietnam called Landmark 81. Every scene in the video is grey and they are interconnected.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
