Fisherman's Bend has a history of large-scale industrial manufacturing and wastelands, causing it to be entrenched in the roots of contamination.

Starting out as a research and development space, this project will expand into education and outreach, providing valuable hands-on research and learning spaces for students of Unimelb's Architecture and Engineering campus, planned to open in Fisherman's Bend in 2026.

This project focuses on contaminated soil, more specifically; utilising bioremediation as the process of decontamination, transforming the resultant soil into a useful construction material and allowing the tectonics of the resultant soil inform an architectural outcome.
