Hi, I am Angela. I am a third year architectural design student. I would like to consider myself creatively versatile—I switch between different graphic styles and mediums. Sometimes I’m a minimalist, sometimes an impressionist or a realist. I don’t like to be defined, but I enjoy trying different things. When I find passion in a project, I go 100%.I believe design works with people, making it both adaptive and, at times, restrictive. It’s all about finding the right balance.

Exterior Render

This render depicts the transformation of an abandoned site near the COOP store into a sustainable hub for education and creativity. The design opens the ground plane, allowing vegetation to thrive and soil to rejuvenate, with a reflective water feature enhancing biodiversity and creating a calming focal point. The building is repurposed into a design school, linking education with nearby textile factories to promote innovation. Flowing fabric installations and sculptures celebrate the area's textile heritage. Open courtyards and shaded walkways invite community engagement, fostering a vibrant space for learning, connection, and ecological renewal.

After Plan 1:250

This site plan showcases the transformation of an abandoned lot into a sustainable, multifunctional space that reconnects people with nature. The layout emphasizes open pathways that flow organically, guiding visitors through a series of functional zones including green spaces, gathering areas, and a reflective water feature. Vegetation is strategically integrated to support biodiversity and soil rejuvenation. The repurposed building, now a design school, ties into the local textile industry, promoting collaboration and innovation.

Render View 2

This render highlights the dynamic ground-level spaces designed for community interaction and ecological renewal. The open under croft connects various parts of the site, creating a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor areas. Natural pathways and greenery integrate seamlessly with the architectural elements, fostering a sense of openness and connection to the environment. The inclusion of seating, shaded areas, and open circulation invites visitors to gather, relax, and explore. These spaces support social engagement, enhancing the site's functionality as both a design school and a community hub.

Before Plan 1:250

This plan shows the existing condition of the abandoned site prior to its redesign. The layout features a large paved area primarily used for vehicle parking and circulation, with minimal green space or pedestrian-friendly zones. The lack of ecological integration or inviting public areas highlights the site's underutilization and disconnect from its surrounding environment. This baseline illustrates the potential for transformation into a vibrant, sustainable space that better serves both the community and the environment.
