I am a final-year architecture student with a background in construction and a passion for thoughtful and adaptable design. My work bridges architectural theory and accessible storytelling, focusing on details that speak to immediate needs while embracing the future. This project explores how a singular element, a lintel, can evolve from a functional necessity into a transformative design focal point. By embracing both structural issues and societal contexts, I've aimed to create a set of principles that makes villa units resilient and capable of evolving with their occupants over time offering a solution to the housing crisis.

The Power Of A Lintel

This project highlights the transformative role of a single architectural element: the lintel. Initially seen as a structural defect, the snapped lintel above the kitchen door became a catalyst for redefining the home's layout. Instead of a mere repair, it inspired a design philosophy centered on transparency and adaptability, allowing spaces to connect and flow. The approach addresses the housing crisis by shifting the view of structures from static to dynamic systems that evolve with occupants' needs. This sustainable design not only solves immediate issues but anticipates future ones, making architecture resilient and responsive to both spatial and societal changes.
