Franny Chang

A new contemporary community hub is proposed for Glen Waverley, celebrating the notion of “knowledge embedded within Country.” By adopting geological elements formed over millennia, the project invites the community to connect with and understand place while nurturing learning, connection, and shared experience. This library and hub serve as both a repository of knowledge and an opportunity to learn about and from Country.

Inspired by the weathering process of geological formations, the ground floor is exposed to the external elements with an open plan that is subject to change depending on user activity.
