Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2024

Hi, I'm Tita. I earned my Master's degree in Interaction Design from Monash University after completing my Bachelor's in Fine Arts in China. Before coming to Monash, I gained valuable work experience in branding and user experience, covering the entire lifecycle of product design projects, from creative ideation to ongoing user experience optimisation.

As a designer focused on user experience, I believe interaction design transforms chaos into order and simplifies complexity. My goal is to make life easier and more enjoyable for people through innovative and heartfelt designs.

Infini

Infini is a client project for my postgraduate degree. In the team, my primary responsibilities included conducting UX research interviews and UI design work. Infini is an AI library for self-directed learners, designed to achieve better resource acquisition and value extraction, leading to a personalised learning journey. This platform redefines learning through immersive experiences, empowering users to unleash their ideas, explore possibilities, and ignite creativity on a personalised and efficient learning path.

Yay Kale

Yay Kale is a food diary app designed for little kids. As a UI redesign project, it aims to make the healthy eating journey for young users refreshing, green, and fun. We hope it will seamlessly integrate into their daily lives with a simple and enjoyable style, accompanying them as they grow. Each user becomes a cute panda, embarking on a delightful fantasy journey. With the invaluable support of my mentor, Dr Indae Hwang, I confidently undertook my first venture into UI design, which received a High Distinction (HD) grade.

Healthie Pal

Healthie Pal is a charming and playful personal dashboard designed specifically for children and young users, helping them track daily health activities through thoughtful, easy-to-use widgets. It includes features for monitoring sleep quality, water intake, food intake, calories burned, exercise duration, heart rate, sedentary time, and emotional journey. Our aim is for users to feel healthier and happier each day through using it, embracing life, and caring more deeply for themselves. Every user deserves the best care. This assignment received a grade of D.

UX Research at Melbourne Zoo

My UX research project at Melbourne Zoo examined how zoo design and user experience can foster sustainable awareness among visitors. Using ethnographic and auto-ethnographic methods, the project sought to understand how design elements could create engaging and inclusive experiences for diverse audiences. By incorporating digital, physical, and sensory aspects, the project emphasised the zoo’s role in connecting visitors with sustainability themes in memorable ways. This approach helped users engage deeply with environmental practices, aligning personal interests with cultural and heritage content. This assignment achieved a High Distinction (HD).

Jasper

How can AI serves our lives? Jasper is an AI app that serves as your warm, empathetic companion, sensing your emotional shifts through expressions, voice, and words. It supports you through joyful moments and challenges by listening with genuine care and providing real-time responses, encouragement, and insightful advice—like a true friend or mentor. Beyond emotional companionship, Jasper inspires self-discovery and personal growth, helping you explore your insights and meet a better version of yourself. The project's research and design concept have achieved a High Distinction (HD) for its UX design.

Tasty traditions for our future

For my final Master’s semester, I independently created this video for our client, Café de Coral in Hong Kong, as part of a group project. The video also serves as a UX project focused on their low-carbon initiatives. I managed the entire promotional process, including storyboard development, research, scriptwriting, editing, and voiceover. Targeted at young families with children, it highlights the collaboration between Café de Coral and the character McDull, emphasising the importance of low-carbon, sustainable local ingredients and their connection to traditional cuisine, effectively integrating these elements for maximum impact (posters & the app interface sourced from group members).
