This proposal of three prefabricated structures integrates modularity, repairability and replicability while still maintaining the personalisation of spaces the reflects the occupants connection with the site. The following drawings are an example of a caretaker’s space that can move and grow or contract in size to adapt to a changing site.

Section

The caretaker is collecting material from the courtyard to later be used in repairing the thatching on the roof.

Plan

This plan shows how the structure is made up of six modular components that provide space for typical residential programs.

Axonometric

The structure lightly touches the ground using screw piles and is formed around the existing vegetation. Mechanical features allow for simple operation and repairability.

Site Plan

The initial proposal consists of three structures spread across the site, but all related to the central fire. Each structure can move and adapt as the needs of the occupants change.
