One square, endless possibilities.

Welcome to Unstitch. Here, you will find our modular tex-TILES available in our first product range: the Bag Kit. Read on to find out how the TILES are made in our circular X factory and future R&D projects.

Outstanding Project: Design for Sustainability

Who: the House of Tiles

Unstitch is bred at the intersection of design, mathematics and business. We create with a zero-waste mindset and aim to help shape a future where tex-TILES enables ethical consumption.

Why: the planned obsolescence

90% of Australian textiles end up in the landfill or get shipped offshore. They continue to pile and we continue to buy. What if we continue to buy but the pile doesn’t grow?

What: the unboxed kit

The kit comes wrapped in furoshiki style. As the furoshiki unfolds, you catch glimpses of two evenly stacked tiles enveloped in an instructional guide.

How: the Tile works

The Tile comes in five sizes, fitting just right in your palm. It connects to one another with a simple slot-and-tab mechanism, balancing well between assembly ease and joint strength. It's a square with dual styles.

Where: the tex-Tile factory

You are invited to Unstitch’s factory tour.

Here is where the Tiles are made, meticulously and precisely. This 8-stage circular system is adaptable to work with different contexts and needs – from community building to corporations. Speak to X or the tour guide to find out more.

When: the future releases

What does the future hold for Unstitch? Greater publicity, longer workshops and more collaborations. We heard your demands for further customisations, and here is a sneak peek of what we are bringing to you soon.
