Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2025

I am a design researcher and designer exploring how empathy and emotional engagement shape meaningful experiences. Rooted in both research and practice, my work focuses on human-centred design that bridges creativity, education, and social impact. I’m passionate about fostering emotional awareness in design—transforming insights into experiences that connect, comfort, and inspire.

Bauhaus Dreamscape

This 3D work draws from the Bauhaus spirit—clarity, structure, and purpose—yet softened with playful, ocean-inspired forms and candy-like color. Simple geometric shapes shift into a gentle, imaginative landscape that feels both calm and expressive. There is nostalgia in this piece: although I was born in the 90s, the furniture in my childhood home carried traces of Bauhaus simplicity. Creating this work felt like returning to those memories—blending past and present, innocence and innovation, into a dreamlike space where time overlaps softly.

Independent woman (ام السعف والليف), FOLKLORE, POSTCARD

My project draws from a traditional tale passed down through my grandparents. There once was a figure created from palm leaves and fibers, invoked to quiet children when they misbehaved.
Yet, I choose to see the woman in that story differently. To me, she is not a symbol of fear, but of strength and beauty—like a rose that leaves its trace wherever it blooms.
This piece is a tribute to women who stand independently, shaping their worlds with intention and resilience, transforming ordinary things into remarkable forms of growth and meaning.

3D Modeling and Virtual Space, "In Calmness, We Find Shelter"

This work presents a 3D scene created in Autodesk Maya, where I modeled the guitar, mouse, bottle, and chess pieces from scratch and applied wood and leather textures for a realistic feel. The Islamic patterned wooden backdrop adds cultural depth and visual rhythm. The phrase on the guitar, “Calmness is the safe haven,” reflects inner balance—music as a refuge amid life’s noise. The chess pieces symbolize careful thought and strategy. Together, the scene blends emotional expression, mindful decision-making, and cultural identity into a unified visual narrative.

"My Dish”, User Interface & User Experience Design – Health and Wellbeing

My Dish is designed to support international students who face challenges when selecting food products in a new cultural environment. The application provides real-time translation of supermarket ingredient labels, enabling users to understand what they are consuming with clarity and confidence. In addition, the app offers tailored recipe suggestions based on the scanned products, while considering cultural food practices, nutritional needs, and dietary restrictions. The design aims to create an accessible and comforting cooking experience, supported by a customizable visual interface that promotes ease, familiarity, and community connection.

It features lightweight materials, real-time temperature and crowd-density sensors, GPS tracking, and an inflatable safety belt that activates to protect in cases of pressure or falls. The structure is made from durable corflute and wrapped in recycled ihram fabric for sustainability and cultural meaning. Functional storage areas hold essentials like water, pebbles, and valuables.
