ResearchConnect
ResearchConnect was created to address the challenge faced by many Monash students, especially international ones, who struggle to find participants for their research projects. The goal was to make it easier for students to recruit participants. I developed three key features: Recruit Participants for posting projects, Smart Search powered by AI to personalise study recommendations, and a Rewards System to motivate participation. Through thoughtful visual design inspired by minimal Neobrutalism, the platform balances reliability, friendliness, and fun which makes the research process more enjoyable for all students.
MOHA (Modern History and Art Museum) App
The MOHA app introduced visitors to each artist through short biographies and ten curated artworks with detailed descriptions, while also enabling direct artwork purchases. Designed for Gen Z audiences, the app’s bold red theme and the concept of being simple, fun, and brave aimed to make art discovery and collecting feel approachable and exciting. By blending an engaging interface with purchasing functionality, the MOHA app extended the exhibition beyond the physical space, enhancing how young visitors connect with contemporary art.
Weather ForCat
The challenge of this project is transforming the ordinary digital experience of a weather app into an experience-focused interaction while maintaining its functionality. As a cat lover, I wanted to create a weather app that not only features cat illustrations but also offers a personal touch. Weather ForCat provides weather updates along with suggested activities to enjoy with your cat. You can also customise the cat illustrations to resemble your pets or your favourite cat motifs.
Rainbow Spirit Festival Website Re-design
The redesign of Rainbow Spirit Festival focuses on reflecting the festival’s core values. Rainbow Spirit Festival brings people together through culture, music, and art. To capture its festive spirit, the new design uses bright green and pink on a dark blue background, representing the warm and cheerful atmosphere of the festival night. With this refreshed look, the Rainbow Spirit Festival community can continue to grow, attracting more people to connect and celebrate together.
Mom Time
The journey of new mums can be both beautiful and challenging. One of the biggest challenges is finding time for themselves, as many are overwhelmed with household chores and find it difficult to communicate their needs to partners or family members. Mom Time helps mums delegate household tasks to their loved ones so they can enjoy more time for self-care. With Mom Time, new mums can request specific help, and their partners, family, or friends will know exactly what they can do to support them. The visual direction of Mom Time is simple and heartwarming, designed to help new mums feel relaxed and cared for.
Monash Mobility Design Lab Website
Celebrating ten years of the Mobility Design Lab’s journey, the new website highlights past research projects while welcoming future directions. The homepage features a timeline slider showcasing key projects and milestones from the lab’s history. To introduce the lab to new audiences and collaborators, the website also includes a presentation mode, making it easier for members to share the lab’s story and ongoing project. To engage a wider community, the website also features Co-Lab Mobility, an interactive tool that allows visitors to generate their own ideas for future mobility with the help of AI.
