Hi, I am Iris Chen. As a creative and innovative UX designer, I am passionate about designing intuitive, user-centered experiences. I see design as a way to connect with people and make everyday moments more meaningful.

MDL 10 years website design

The Mobility Design Lab website serves as a living platform that communicates the Lab’s identity through narrative interaction and coherent visual language.
Structured as a guided journey, the site presents MDL’s research themes, collaborative projects, and academic pathways in a clear and accessible way — enabling visitors to understand what MDL has done, how it works, and where it is heading.
Through modular layouts, motion-based transitions, and a soft, human-centered visual tone, the design strengthens MDL's role as a leader in sustainable mobility innovation and invites new students, partners, and collaborators to participate in shaping the future of mobility.

CoursePal

CoursePal is a smart course selection and timetable assistant designed to support Monash students—especially new students—during the course enrolment period and throughout the semester.
It streamlines the enrolment process and integrates timetable viewing into one accessible app, enabling students to choose courses clearly and efficiently. By visualising the previously confusing process and making it interactive, intuitive, and stress-free.

By combining onboarding guidance, real-time enrolment view, smart timetable, and course support, it improves accessibility and enhances the overall campus life.

MOHA art gallery

MOHA is a digital exhibition app designed for a Fauvism special showcase.
It introduces Fauvist artists and their works in a clear, narrative-driven layout, while also engaging users through interactive 3D artwork previews.

Users can explore, preview, and purchase artworks seamlessly. Additionally, a Fauvism-inspired collage feature allows users to create personalized art cards to send as gifts — enhancing the emotional and shareable experience of art appreciation.

RainbowNet

RainbowNet is a mental health–focused community platform designed for the LGBTQIA+ community. It allows users to find and join support groups based on personal experiences, interests, and emotional needs.

Through tag-based group discovery and identity-affirming spaces, RainbowNet helps users connect with others who share similar journeys — fostering safety, trust, and a sense of belonging while offering access to shared mental health and medical resources.
