My name is Zihao Zhang (he/him), a UI/UX designer and digital media artist based in Melbourne. My practice lies at the intersection of interaction design, visual storytelling, and cultural research. With a foundation in human-centred design and accessibility, I explore how digital experiences can connect people across cultural and emotional boundaries.
MOHA: A Mobile Gateway to Classical Art
MOHA is a mobile app that helps young people engage with classical art in a fresh, interactive way. Users can browse masterpieces by five iconic artists, learn the stories behind each work, and purchase prints or send them as gifts. Designed with a clean, intuitive interface and responsive layout, MOHA bridges digital interaction with real-world art appreciation. Created using Figma (UI/UX), Adobe Illustrator (branding), and After Effects (motion design).
This playful weather app visualises temperature and mood through expressive emoji-like characters. Instead of dry numbers, users are greeted by faces that sweat, smile, or shiver based on real-time weather data. Designed for mobile, it uses bold colours, large type, and animated icons to make weather checking fun and emotionally engaging. Made with Figma (UI/UX) and Illustrator (icon design), this project explores the emotional side of data visualisation.

The app includes floor maps, filters for quiet/group zones, and personalised usage data. Designed in Figma, this project focuses on intuitive UX, accessibility, and reducing student stress around study space availability.
