Hi, my name is Hanqing Gong, and I’m from Beijing, China. I recently graduated from Monash University with a degree in Multimedia Design. I’m passionate about brand design and how visual identities can shape communication and connect with audiences. I’m also interested in interior design; especially how spatial environments influence user experience.

New Orleans 1919

This is a 2025 Studio 4 course project — a movie title sequence about the Axeman mystery case in New Orleans in 1919. The production combines AI-generated short film techniques with Photoshop and After Effects editing. The use of red and yellow tones along with light flares creates a vintage and suspenseful atmosphere.

Mood Grocer

his is one of the course projects from Multimedia Studio 4 in 2025. It is a promotional video created for a lifestyle grocery brand entering the Melbourne market. The project combines live-action footage with 3D modeling and animation made in Blender, aiming to create a playful and live action compositing effect. The final video delivers a light-hearted and engaging brand introduction for its launch in Melbourne.

You are stronger than the substance

This is one of my 2025 Studio 3 course projects. The theme focuses on raising awareness about substance abuse among teenagers. The video was created using Photoshop for image processing and After Effects for motion design. With a visual style based on black, white, and blue, the film adopts an aurora-inspired aesthetic to deliver a mysterious and impactful atmosphere, reinforcing the seriousness of the topic.

The Present Moment

This Motion Graphic short film is based on the quote: “We can experience nothing but the present moment, live in no other second of time, and to understand this is as close as we can get to eternal life.” The project focuses on dynamic typography, paired with motion graphic illustrations. With bright and playful colors, the visuals create a lively and energetic atmosphere that supports the theme of appreciating the present moment.

All objects in the video were fully 3D-modeled and rendered using Maya. The content showcases a display space designed for a guitar brand.

Evergen BCI technology

This is a futuristic brain–computer interface product brochure fully illustrated and produced in Adobe Illustrator. Both the brand logo and the product were self-designed, with the 3D effects achieved using Illustrator’s built-in features.
