In my practice I use the process of image making as an enquiry into lived experiences of abuse. Through searching a performance is born. Images are used as portals; a holder for something other. Taking an image is an exchange between past and the now. Like a stutter there is a return. The other is the world we bring to an image. To hold it close is to recognise it.
