Who we are

The Australian National Diabetes Audit (ANDA) is a national clinical quality audit. It is a centralised quality assurance activity aiming to improve the quality of care provided to patients with diabetes.

In partnership with:

  • Our purpose

ANDA is a clinical quality audit aiming to improve the quality of care provided to patients attending primary, secondary and tertiary health care services (diabetes centres) for management of diabetes.

  • Why participate

ANDA provides annual, individualised data and quality reports to participating centres which allow them to benchmark their own performance against other participating centres. This provides health services a unique opportunity to identify strengths and weaknesses in the services they provide.

  • Governance

ANDA is coordinated by Monash University in conjunction with the National Association of Diabetes Centres and participating primary, secondary and tertiary care diabetes centres across Australia.

  • Patient information

One way to monitor the outcomes associated with diabetes care is to use a Clinical Quality Audit to measure the quality of the health care provided and identify relevant areas of practice that can be improved.

  • Health professionals

ANDA provides annual, individualised data and quality reports to sites to allow them to benchmark their own performance against other participating centres, providing a unique opportunity to identify strengths and weaknesses in the services they provide.

  • ANDA webinar on demand

This NADC webinar showcases the importance and operations of ANDA as a centralised quality assurance activity aiming to improve the quality of care provided to people with diabetes.

  • Reports and publications

The reports provide a unique opportunity for diabetes centres to benchmark their performance against their peers across Australia and the different segments of the health system.

  • Our supporters

ANDA is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health; their generous contribution and enthusiastic support for ANDA is a testament to the importance of this nationwide quality assurance activity.
