John De Rango

John De Rango Director, Monash Health Foundation. John De Rango joined as the Director of the Monash Health Foundation in May 2025. With more than 25 years of senior management experience across corporate, not-for-profit and philanthropic sectors, John’s early career commenced in membership management with a number of AFL Clubs, before joining Save the Children Australia where he led the marketing and fundraising team. John was instrumental in helping position Save the Children Australia as one of the leading international development organisations in the country; and in turn, assisted the International Save the Children Alliance in setting-up or supporting philanthropic and development programs across Asia and Europe. He then co-founded Redstone Marketing, a specialist consultancy working with major NGOs and Charities including Greenpeace International, Cancer Council Victoria, Save the Children International, Amnesty International Australia, Peter Mac Cancer Foundation, and Plan International Australia… just to name a few. After Redstone, John was the Director of The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation, before heading up the Fundraising & Marketing team at Stroke Foundation prior to his arrival at Monash Health. John is a former Board Member & Chair of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association – which represents over 50 leading charitable organisations across Australia.
