Professor Michelle Giles

Infectious Diseases Physician

Professor Giles is an infectious diseases physician with clinical appointments at Alfred Health, Monash Health and the Royal Women's Hospital. She is recognised nationally and internationally for her expertise in infections in pregnancy and maternal immunisation. She has served on ATAGI, the national expert advisory committee to the Commonwealth government on vaccine policy and is an expert advisor to the World Health Organisation on maternal immunisation. She has an academic appointment at Monash University in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology where she leads a research program focusing on infectious diseases, maternal and child health, and immunisation.
