Postdoctoral Scientist, Interventional Immunology in Early Life Diseases - The Ritchie Centre

Sara Di Simone is an Early Career Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research following completion of her PhD in 2025. Across her research portfolio, Sara’s work integrates neonatal immunology, early‑life microbiome establishment, and translational strategies to develop evidence-drive microbiome-based therapies for infants. Her work contributes to major collaborative initiatives across the Hudson Institute, as well as internationally through her involvement as a chief investigator in the Wellcome Leap Foundations of a Resilient Microbiome project. Together, her work aims to accelerate the development of safe and effective microbial therapeutics that improve outcomes for vulnerable infants worldwide.
