Dr Shoshana Sztal-Mazer

Women's Endocrinology Clinic - Alfred Health

Shoshana Sztal-Mazer is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Alfred Health where has a senior role in the Women’s Endocrinology Clinic. She is the Clinical Lead for the Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Service and the Endocrine in Pregnancy Clinic. Clinically, her work involves a broad range of inpatient and outpatient general endocrinology. She oversees clinical guidelines for the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Alfred Health and has had an active role in guideline writing at a national level for many years. Teaching commitments include tuition and supervision of junior doctors through all stages of training and examining for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.  She is affiliated with the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine, Monash University, with research interests in bone health, women’s reproductive health, sustainability and diabetes. Shoshana sits on a number of Australian Endocrinology and Diabetes Society committees, including the National Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee for Healthy Bones Australia.
