Professor Susan R Davis AO, MBBS FRACP PhD FAHMS is an Endocrinologist and clinician-researcher. researcher. She is Head of the Monash University Women’s Health Research Program and holds a NHMRC Level 3 Investigator Grant. Prof Davis is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of the Women’s Endocrine Clinic, Alfred Hospital Melbourne and an Executive Council Member of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences. She is a past President of the International and Australasian Menopause Societies and an one of the 5 original co-founders of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health. With over 495 peer-reviewed publications, her work underpins many best practice recommendations and has influenced health care delivery globally. She advocates for best clinical care via co-authorship of international Best Practice Guidelines (>20) and led the development of the nationally and internationally endorsed Practitioner Toolkit for Managing Menopause. Dr Davis has received numerous national and international prestigious research awards, including the Australian Heart Foundation Ross Hohnen Award (2022), the NHMRC Elizabeth Blackburn Award (2023) and the Medal of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (2022) for outstanding contribution and leadership in endocrinology and women’s health, and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia.
