Planned Giving

By including a bequest in your will, you can continue to support  artists in making new work and create your legacy in fostering  the most vital and experimental art by Australian and international artists. A gift to MUMA connects artists, ideas and audiences.

How do I include Monash University Museum of Art in my will?

You can leave a bequest to Monash University Museum of Art by adding a codicil to your current will or by drafting a new will. We recommend that you seek advice from a solicitor. Law societies in every state of Australia publish lists of accredited specialists in wills and estates. Trustee companies can also advise you.

As a will is a legal document, it is best to ensure that the wording is precise.

The following bequest wording may be adapted by your legal adviser for inclusion in your will:

‘I bequeath Monash University of Clayton, Victoria 3800, ABN 12 377 614 012, the sum of …... dollars {or the percentage of the residual estate}, to be applied for the purposes of supporting Monash University Museum of Art to acquire works of art (or) by Monash University Museum of Art in such a manner as its Director may determine.

I direct that the receipt in writing of an authorised officer of Monash University shall be deemed proof of payment.’
