Choose to study either our Bachelor of Nursing or dual degree Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours), and be taught by people who have been there, in nursing and midwifery - Leaders in their field with a wealth of knowledge and expertise they want to share with you.

    We know how daunting your 1st year can be with lots of new skills and knowledge to learn, to help you, we have lots of different programs including:

      • Near peer support

        Feeling a bit overwhelmed with thoughts of a first year full of practical lab skills to learn? Our senior students chip in to help with lab skills sessions! And they not only help you with your skills but put you in touch with students in other years, so you gain valuable experience and viewpoints outside of your day-to-day contacts.

      • Student mentors

        Any questions or you need support with university life? Student mentors hold regular informal clinics to help you with additional support and advice - pointing you in the right direction.




      • Student representatives

        Got any ideas about how we could do things better? Want to highlight something that’s gone particularly well for you? Your Student Representative is your voice and your direct connection to the Nursing and Midwifery senior leadership team, who will make sure your views are heard.

      • Societies and clubs

        There are a variety of student clubs available on all Monash campuses - academic, cultural, sporting and social so there’s bound to be something for you, including a health-related society where you can connect with fellow nurses and take part in industry-focused events, ensuring you’re part of a thriving, supportive community.
