The 2017 Professionalising Research Management Conference theme is ‘Connect & Collaborate: Working Together Innovatively'.
Research Services includes a broad range of staff across the university, working in a variety of roles, with the common goal of supporting research, researchers and graduate research students at Monash. The PRM Network was devised as a means of connecting this broad cross-section of the university, and growing our community of best-practice. So for this year’s conference we’ve devised a theme and program which aims to explore ways to connect, collaborate and share knowledge with your Research Services colleagues.
We’ve sourced an excellent array of presenters and facilitators to help guide you through the day (the full program can be found below), as well as the return of the Poster Competition (with a twist!), the Research Services Excellence Awards, a door prize (not that you need any encouragement to come along) and much much more.
This site is designed to entice you to hit the ‘register here’ buttons littered throughout. An Event App will be launched closer to the conference which will contain the full gamut of details from logistics, to presenter bio’s, to venue details and anything else we can think of that will help prepare you for the day.

Venue: Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006
The Conference is in the Convention Centre part of the complex, Level 1 in Foyer 1.3 - electronic signage throughout the venue to assist with locating the Conference.
Travelling to & from: The MCEC website provides comprehensive information on how to access the venue via public transport (train, tram and bus) as well as multiple parking options. There are several carparks around which have early bird specials for entry between 6:00-9:00am and exit after 3:00pm. Full details can be found here.

Who should attend?
The conference should be attended by all professional staff who touch research services in some way, including technical and infrastructure support staff. This could include, but is not limited to staff within Faculty/Department/School Research Offices, research laboratories or research technology platforms, the Monash Research Office, Graduate research Services, Centres and Institutes, Research and Revenue Accounting Services, Library and other central offices involved in research and graduate research management.
PRM Conference App
That's right, this years Conference has it's very own App, specifically designed to help ensure you are prepared and ready to hit the ground running come the 12th of October.
Accessible to all registrants, the App is downloadable from the App and Google stores - search for 'Monash University Events Portal' OR head to monash.eventapp.com.au.
Don't forget to accept notifications so you can be kept up-to-date as new details are added and participate in our live polls on the day.
Once in the Portal select the PRM Conference tile and use the email address you registered with to login. We've created this short video with some handy navigation tips but really you can just jump in and have a play, it's extremely user-friendly!
