Clinical partners

We work in close partnership with a number of clinical colleagues to ensure that our discovery research is driven by clinical insights to ensure that our findings are readily translatable to improving health outcomes. In a long-term and ongoing collaboration with Professor Johannes Kern, Professor of Dermatology, Monash University and Deputy Director Dermatology, Alfred Health, we study psoriasis patient T cells from lesional and non-lesional skin biopsies and blood. This joint clinical trial investigates how the location of T cells influences and reflects their T cell receptor specificities.

In another collaboration with Dr. Josh Osowicki, Team leader of the Vaccine Challenges team, Tropical Diseases research group, at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and Danika Hill, Laboratory Head in the Department of Immunology and Pathology at the Alfred Hospital, we investigate Streptococcus pyogenes antigens.
