The endocrine system controls cell-cell communication and coordinates all our daily activities from conception to death. Abnormalities in hormones, receptors and cell signalling pathways underpin many common human diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. We are studying the actions of two important endogenous steroid hormones, cortisol (a glucocorticoid) and aldosterone (a mineralocorticoid) that synthesized are secreted by the adrenal gland, and then regulate important aspects of systemic physiology and homeostasis, in humans and other mammals.
We're always interested in collaborating with bright and motivated researchers, clinicians and industry. Whether you want to research, study or partner with us to accelerate our discoveries, find out about the work we do.
