The innate immune system induces a rapid host response following the recognition of pathogens or endogenous danger signals by stimulating the release of inflammatory mediators via the functions of families of highly conserved pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). Our group investigates the mechanisms that control the complex cellular signalling and trafficking pathways that are elicited upon PRR activation. Our research program aims to provide a clearer molecular understanding of innate immune receptors in microbial infection, autoimmune and autoinflammatory disease, as well as uncovering new avenues for harnessing innate immunity for effective cancer immunotherapy.
We are committed to excellence in research.
We're always interested in collaborating with bright and motivated researchers, clinicians and industry. Whether you want to research, study or partner with us to accelerate our discoveries, find out about the work we do.
