Mitochondria more than just “the powerhouse of the cell”. They are fascinating, highly dynamic organelles that carry out an array of cellular functions; all the while sitting at the crossroads of cellular fate – mitochondria can release the power for life, and just as easily unleash the machineries of death. Our group explores the following questions:
The McArthur Group functions alongside the Formosa Group, as a collaborative and integrated unit within the Lab of Professor Mike Ryan, the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, and the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute.

We're always interested in collaborating with bright and motivated researchers, clinicians and industry. Whether you want to research, study or partner with us to accelerate our discoveries, find out about the work we do.
