The Neurobionics Laboratory is a joint research group between the Department of Electrical and Computer Science Engineering and the Department of Physiology at Monash University.

Research partners
Associate Professor Yan Wong is a member of the Monash Vision Group (MVG), a Melbourne-based collaborative partnership between Monash University, Grey Innovation, MiniFAB and Alfred Health. MVG's primary goal is to develop a clinically viable cortical vision prosthesis - known as the Gennaris bionic vision system or ‘Gennaris’.
Dr Yan Wong is also one of the Monash BDI researchers involved in the Cortical Frontiers: Commercialising brain-machine interfaces project, which received almost $1 million under the new Medical Research Future Fund Frontier Health and Medical Research Program to advance the technology, ready to put forward a detailed plan for potential stage two investment.
