Professor Shu Gong

Shu Gong is a Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Central South University, China. He earned his BS from Central South University, China, in 2011, and his PhD from Monash University in 2017 supervised by Prof. Wenlong Cheng. He held positions in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Monash University before joining Central South University in 2024.

His research interests lie at electronic skins, wearable biosensors and electrochemical devices, and is committed to the development and integration of ultra-thin and imperceptible flexible electronic biological platforms. He has published more than 70 SCI papers, among which the first and corresponding authors’ papers were published in Nat. Nanotechnol., Chem. Rev., Chem. Sci. Rev., Nat. Commun., etc., His publications have been cited for more than 7800 times, with an H-factor of 38.
