Professor Zhaoxiang Zhong

Zhaoxiang Zhong is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Technology. Recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, "Young Scholar of the Yangtze River Scholars Award Program," chief scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, and visiting scholar at Monash University, Australia.
Currently, he serves as the Director of the Department of Discipline Development and the Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Nanjing University of Technology. He is an editorial board member of journals such as "Membranes" (SCI journal), "Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering" (SCI journal), "Advanced Membrane," and "Membrane Science and Technology."
His primary research focuses on the development of functional membrane materials and their application technologies. The air purification membrane technology he developed has been widely applied in industrial flue gas treatment and household air purification, earning him the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress, the 2023 Qingshan Science and Technology Award, the Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Innovation Award, the First Prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology, the Jiangsu Patent Inventor Award, and others. He has published over 180 SCI papers, filed more than 40 Chinese patents, 7 international PCT applications, and holds 36 authorized domestic invention patents and 4 international invention patents.
