Professor Huanting Wang

Professor Huanting Wang is a Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor and an ARC Australian Laureate Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University. He is also Director of the ARC Research Hub for Energy-efficient Separation and Vice-President (Research) of Monash Suzhou. He was the founding Director of the Monash Centre for Membrane Innovation (2018-2022), served as Asia Editor of Journal of Experimental Nanoscience and as an Executive Editor-in-chief of Advanced Membranes.
Professor Wang’s research focuses on nanomaterials and composite membranes for gas separation, water desalination and purification, chiral separation, ion transport and separation and electrochemical energy applications. He has co-authored over 420 papers (Highly cited researcher) and had 11 patents licensed to six companies in Australia, the US and China, including two Monash University spin-outs.
He is also listed in the Top 100 Innovators in “The Australian Business Review” (2023), is was awarded the Underwood Medal from the Institute of Chemical Engineers in 2021.
